The movie will be starred by the King of Pop’s nephew Jaafar Jackson
Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson will play the role of the “King of Pop” in the upcoming biopic movie, “Michael.”
The movie will be directed by acclaimed American movie director, Antoine Fuqua and distributed by Lions Gate entertainment. “I’m humbled and honoured to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life,” Jackson wrote on Monday in a social media post.
Jaafar Jackson, 26, son to Jermaine Jackson, former member of the celebrated Jackson Five is also a singer and songwriter. His dancing prowess and similarities to his late uncle, Michael Jackson has been noticed and commended by many.
Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer and philanthropist. Dubbed the “King of Pop,” he is known as one the most influential cultural figures in the 20th century.
Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009, aged 50 in Los Angeles, California.
Director Antoine Fuqua was proud to announce “the motion picture event that explores the journey of the man who became the King of Pop.”
