National Assembly Loses Another Member

The lawmaker died in Douala on Sunday after an illness

The death has been announced of another member of the National Assembly, Hon Isaac Ngahane.

The Speaker of the National Assembly confirmed Hon Ngahane’s death in a communiqué on Sunday and expressed profound condolences to the family of the deceased.

The lawmaker, who died in Douala, was a Member of Parliament of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, for Wouri East in the Littoral Region.

He was also the President of the National Assembly Committee on Education, Vocational Training, and Youth. He took active part in the June session of Parliament where his Committee held a couple of meetings. Among other things, the Committee also scutinised the bill to organise and promote volunteering in Cameroon.

Some of his colleagues have already expressed grief over his demise and expressed words of condolences to the bereaved family.

Hon Isaac Ngahane becomes the eighth Member of the National Assembly to pass away in the current legislature. His death follows that, a few weeks earlier, of Hon Marinette Ngo Yetna epouse Mbeleg from the Sanaga Maritime.
