Cameroon: President Biya Receives Emmanuel Macron At State House Audience

The two men discussed a wide range of issues both related to ties between the two countries as well as the prevailing global health and food crisis

The Head of State, Paul Biya on Tuesday, July 26 received in audience the French President, Emmanuel Macron at the State House.

The one-hour audience was an opportunity for the two leaders to review ties and bilateral relations between the two countries but also discuss on a few topical issue.

Among the issues discussed was the consequences of the war in Ukraine which has led to a global food crisis. During the audience, the French President reiterated France's support for Cameroon's decentralisation drive as a solution to the crisis in the North West and South West Regions.

After the two-hour audience, Paul Biya and Emmanuel Macron then filed in questions from the press before a launch offered to the French President to round off the day at the Presidency.
