Cameroon/AFCON 2021:Indomitable Lions Look To Maintain Leadership Against Cape Verde

Two games, two victories, six goals scored and two conceded. The Indomitable Lions have so far posted maximum points in as many games as they now eye the top spot of the group.

Standing on their way are the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde who are battling for their own survival as their destiny lies in their hands.

If the Indomitable Lions avoid defeat in today’s game, then they are sure to top the group and stay in Olembe for the round of 16 fixture.

Indomitable Lions head coach Antonio Concecaio has a dilemma to do a turn over with the squad and bring in some fringe players as well as give some rest to key players ahead of the knockout stages.

After last Thursday’s emphatic victory, the Indomitable Lions returned to training at the base at the Complexe Mundi in Nsimalen where they had some light training with players involved the previous day taking muscle relaxation exercises while those who were not involved rolled out on the pitch for some exercises with the ball.

The next day, it was a full house in training while on Saturday, the coach used the training to give himself an idea of the team he will line up before their final training session yesterday at the annexe of the Olembe stadium.
