FECAFOOT team in Dschang

A team dispatched by Samuel Eto’o Fils was in the town last week to discuss with the Council to work out the feasibility of the project

The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT is seeking a piece of land to construct a stadium in the locality of Dschang, according to a letter sent to the Mayor of the locality by Samuel Eto’o Fils, President of FECAFOOT.

To that effect, a mission from FECAFOOT, led by former Indomitable Lion and Charge de mission, Emmanuel Maboang Kessack was in Dschang last Wednesday to discuss with authorities of the council.

The delegation from FECAFOOT was received by the Secretary General of the Dschang Council, Francois Kenfack who took them to visit five hectares of land set aside for the project in the Tsinkop neighbourhood in Dschang.

Emmanuel Maboang Kessack regretted that the main club of the town, Aigle Royale of Dschang have been forced to play their home matches in Bafoussam because there is no regular playground in the city.

To that effect, they visited the CENAJES stadium to inspect the state of the facility which could enable Aigle and other teams in Dschang stage their home matches.

After discussions with the Council, the FECAFOOT mission promised to propose to hierarchy the acquisition of a synthetic pitch, refurbish the stands and improve on the lighting in order to get the facility to standard.
