The holders put back their crown on the line when the tournament kicks off on April 29 in Algeria
Cameroon have been drawn in Group C of the 2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations that will take place in Algeria from April 29 to May 13.
The draw conducted yesterday in Cairo sees the Cameroon who are defending champions drawn in group C alongside debutants South Sudan, Mali and Burkina Faso.
The defending champions Cameroon picked their qualification, winning the central Africa zonal tournament earlier in January. Cameroon head for their eighth participation in the competition after winning two editions (2003, 2019).
The other outcomes of the draw see hosts Algeria, who are making just their second participation in the tournament, drawn in Group A alongside Senegal, Congo and Somalia.
The draw is completed in Group B described as the group of death where Nigeria have been drawn alongside Morocco, South Africa and Zambia.
The tournament is returning for the first time since 2019 after the last edition was cancelled due to the outbreak of the COVID-19.
